We start at the Prado with the essential works: Las Meninas, Goya, El Greco, Bosch. Then we cross to the Reina Sofía, ten minutes' walk away, to see Guernica and 20th-century Spanish art. It is the best way to understand how Goya leads to Picasso.

About three and a half hours in total (three hours from 9 people, under museum rules), with a break in between.
