The ultimate literary tapas experience
Step into the heart of Spain's Golden Age with our private Tapas Tour through the Barrio de las Letras. This is more than a tasting: it is a walk back in time, past the house of Cervantes and along streets with lines of verse set into the pavement. With a local guide, we visit three traditional, authentic taverns away from the most touristy routes.
Food and drinks: all included and flexible
Unlike tours with fixed tourist menus, we do things differently. Your booking includes 3 drinks and 4-5 quality tapas per person. To make the experience truly yours, we order à la carte based on what you would like to try, and what you would rather skip.
- Diets and allergies: this approach lets us adapt to any allergy or dietary requirement, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.
- No set menus: you eat as well as a local, with the freedom to choose what you really fancy.
Duration and mobility
The tour lasts about 2.5 hours along a relaxed historic route. We enjoy our tapas standing up, the way it is done here, but your comfort matters: if anyone has reduced mobility, we adapt the route with fewer stops and places to sit. Just let us know when you book.
Families and accessibility
Families are welcome; recommended for ages 12 and up. We can pick you up at your hotel if it is within 10-15 minutes of the meeting point.
Meeting point
We start at Plaza de Santa Ana, next to the statue of Calderón de la Barca. Look for the stone figure holding a book: your guide will be waiting for you there. We go ahead rain or shine. If you are running late, call us on +34 614 500 379.
