Further information

Segovia the other way round

Most groups come to Segovia for the aqueduct and the Alcázar and leave without knowing that the streets in between were one of the most important Jewish quarters in Castile. We start at Plaza del Corpus, before the old Main Synagogue, now a church; walk the Old and New Jewish quarters; go inside (if the group wishes) the house of Abraham Seneor, chief rabbi of Castile and today the quarter's Visitor Centre; reach the San Andrés Gate and tell the story of the Pinarillo cemetery from the viewpoint, with its rock-cut tombs. Whatever happens, we stop at the San Marcos viewpoint, and the aqueduct is always part of the visit.
