Further information
A full day in Toledo, unhurried and just for your group.
We pick you up at 9:30 at your hotel or apartment in Madrid and drive to Toledo in a hybrid Toyota Yaris. The car is small on purpose: the car parks in the medieval old town are narrow, so we get where bigger vehicles cannot, and it pollutes far less.
Our first stop is the Mirador del Valle, the classic panoramic view of Toledo above the Tagus and the best spot for photos of the whole trip.
In the city we walk for about 2 to 3 hours through the old town, at whatever pace suits you. We go into the Primate Cathedral (entry included): you see it from the inside on your own, there is no guided tour inside the cathedral, walk through the Jewish quarter — where we go into one of its synagogues, entry included too and again on your own — and the streets of the city of three cultures, stop at a workshop where Toledo marzipan is still made by hand, and at another where you will see damascene work, the craft of hammering gold thread into steel that made Toledo famous.
Along the way there is time for a coffee or a light lunch and for souvenir shopping. And if you fancy it, you can fly across the Tagus on the Toledo zip line (23.99 € per person, optional, paid there).
Afterwards we drive back to Madrid and drop you off at your accommodation. Six to seven hours in total.
The price is fixed per group of up to 3 people and includes fuel, tolls, parking and the cathedral tickets. Food and drinks are not included.
Travelling with children? We have a child seat available at no extra cost: just let us know when you book.
